Rocky has been improving so much lately and today he was walking unassisted in the treadmill for the first time. I wasn’t sure he was ready but he showed me that he had it in the bag! So excited to see Rocky’s progress from totally paralysed to walking by himself with some minor assistance in getting the correct placement for the right front limb which continues to be his weak spot. Today was his first session with only one therapist in the water with him and he smashed it! Rocky is the sweetest 8 year old Rottweiler who unfortunately suffered an FCE (Fibrocartilaginous embolism) in his neck causing tetraparesis (unable to move either his front or hind legs) 5 and a half weeks ago. He has been hospitalised and getting daily physio at @garsvets and started hydrotherapy with us at the start of October. This video is from Friday and as you can hear it takes quite the team effort but we are so proud of Rocky and the progress he is making ❤️ it was following this session when we had stopped filming that he stood up by himself the first time and we were all overjoyed and so pleased that not only his family was there to see but also Dana one of his carers from GARS - it really does take a team but the only way is up now Rocky! #rehabrecovery #hydrotherapy #rottweiler #paralyzeddog #teamworkmakesthedreamwork

We are excited about the arrival of our new portable building. It is custom-built by @ace_portables in Pakenham, Victoria. It is constructed using energy saving materials and features. Cool in summer and warm in winter. We will consolidate all dog rehabilitation services in one building. Dogs and their owners and staff will soon enjoy the upgraded facilities.
